DOMANI Protocol and DEXTF Token: Pioneering the Future of Digital Asset Management for Institutions and Retail Investors
At Memento Blockchain, we are unwavering in our commitment to advancing the DOMANI Protocol. Our overarching vision and objective is to establish DOMANI as the premier digital asset management platform, revolutionizing the asset management industry by providing retail users with access to previously exclusive investment opportunities. Concurrently, we are strategically positioning DOMANI as the primary gateway for major banks and financial institutions to enter the realms of DeFi and digital assets.
DEXTF Token Utility
The DEXTF token is at the core of our efforts. This commitment is exemplified by the integration of Chainlink’s CCIP and Price Feeds, designed to facilitate cross-chain transfers of DEXTF and enable accurate conversions to display USD-equivalent balances.
We are determined to keep developing innovative mechanisms that enable DEXTF to capture value from all our initiatives, thereby elevating its utility and significance within our ecosystem.
DEXTF token will benefit from the multi-chain deployment of DOMANI Protocol by accruing fees from multiple revenue streams, including
- Platform Fees: value transactions including mint, redemption, and rebalancing on the DOMANI Protocol incur a protocol fee of 10 bps (0.10%); and
- CombSwap Fees: every swap transaction generates a protocol fee of 10 bps (0.10%). CombSwap is a module integrated into DOMANI Protocol that simplifies entering and exiting tokenized funds by allowing users to do one-to-many and many-to-one swaps.
That is, CombSwap enables users to buy the fund’s multiple underlying assets in one transaction by spending one token — a one-to-many swap) or sell the fund’s numerous underlying assets in one transaction and receive one token — a many-to-one swap).
To ensure alignment of interests across our ecosystem, we are introducing additional prospective revenue streams that will set DEXTF token to also benefit from the activities and usage of the Memento ZKchain — not only from DOMANI Protocol — as outlined below:
- Memento ZKchain’s Sequencer Fees: A Revenue-sharing model whereby DEXTF will accrue 50% of the ZKchain’s sequencer fees.
Sequencer fees will be earned when any transaction is executed on the ZKchain. Memento Blockchain — the creator of the DOMANI Protocol — will operate one or more of the sequencer nodes, along with other partners we are currently in discussions with.
- Entry Fee: Institutions will be charged a fee similar to a software license fee for accessing and utilizing the enterprise-grade, zk-powered L2 ZKchain. 50% of the revenue generated from this fee will directly accrue to the DEXTF token.
DOMANI Protocol Deployment on Memento ZKchain
Based on numerous discussions we have had with various institutions and regulators — discussions that initially motivated our initiative to build the ZKchain — we have concluded that deploying the DOMANI Protocol on the ZKchain will significantly increase its appeal to institutional users. These institutions require a permissioned blockchain that offers complete control, which Memento ZKchain satisfies.
As previously announced, the DOMANI Protocol is now ready to be deployed on the ZKchain mainnet when it goes live. With the recent deployments of the Deutsche Bank Paymaster — a digital system or smart contract that automates payment processes to enable seamless transaction management for institutional clients — and Validium — a scaling solution designed to improve transaction efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance privacy for institutional clients — the Memento ZKchain is getting equipped with the required tools for delivering a scalable, high-performance solution in a secure environment that meets the evolving demands of the financial services industry where TradFi institutions can confidently leverage blockchain technology, enabling robust institutional DeFi exploration.
These deployments would significantly enhance the user experience for DOMANI Protocol users on the ZKchain, which in turn would facilitate onboarding more clients and unlock the potential for widespread adoption and utilization of the Protocol by institutional users.
DOMANI Protocol’s B2C and B2B Offerings
It is imperative to highlight that introducing the B2B offering and developing the ZKchain will not alter the existing B2C setup of the DOMANI dApp.
The dApp will still be available on public permissionless blockchains (e.g., Ethereum, zkSync Era, and Avalanche) — democratizing access to digital asset management for DeFi retail users (i.e., crypto-natives) by empowering anyone to mint, trade, redeem, and provide liquidity for non-custodial tokenized portfolios.
Deploying the DOMANI Protocol on the ZKchain will complement the existing B2C offering by providing a controlled, permissioned environment tailored to institutional needs. This B2B solution shall facilitate greater institutional adoption of the Protocol and help offer a broader range of options to accommodate diverse purposes and users, thereby enhancing the likelihood of its overall adoption.
Partnership with Deutsche Bank in Project DAMA 2
Deutsche Bank and Memento Blockchain are collaboratively developing the Memento ZKchain, with Deutsche Bank contributing industry specifications and functional & regulatory requirements, and Memento Blockchain handling the technical implementation and integration with other technology partners.
This partnership builds upon the successful completion of the Proof of Concept known as Project DAMA (Digital Assets Management Access) — a bespoke version of the DOMANI Protocol. Project DAMA demonstrated the potential for a more efficient, secure, and flexible solution for digital asset management and investment servicing, meeting the specific needs of financial institutions to be able to utilize the Protocol.
The Memento ZKchain aims to deliver a product that Deutsche Bank can use to effectively service digital funds and assets issued by collaborating asset managers within the framework of Project Guardian and beyond.
By setting protocol standards and industry best practices, the Memento ZKchain aspires to be an “institution-friendly” L2 blockchain, thereby facilitating the onboarding of more TradFi institutions for a variety of on-chain activities from RWA tokenization, to Institutional DeFi and beyond.
Project Guardian
This collaborative initiative with policymakers and major financial services industry players seeks to test the feasibility of applications in asset tokenization and DeFi while managing risks to financial stability and integrity.
In collaboration with Deutsche Bank under the DAMA 2 initiative, we are participating in Project Guardian, through which we get access to leading global policymakers and key players in the financial services industry. Such involvement provides us with invaluable business development opportunities to establish strategic partnerships as we showcase our innovative, transformative solutions to industry leaders.
Our involvement in this prestigious initiative bolsters our efforts to onboard more financial institutions and banks and propels us toward achieving accelerated growth and widespread adoption of our ZKchain and DOMANI Protocol.
